Murano Tour + Aperitivo
Murano Afternoon Aperitivo Experience | The “Gibigiana” is that magical glow created when the sun reflects on the water.
With us, you will not only see Venice and its lagoon you will sail through its most secret reflections, reaching the wonderful island of glass: Murano. During the journey, you will admire the lagoon and experience Venice from a different perspective. Upon arriving in Murano, you will have the pleasure of discovering the ancient techniques of master glassmakers, known throughout the world. You will observe the “Master,” who, together with his team, gathers incandescent molten glass from the furnace using a blowpipe. You will witness rapid freehand shaping and the use of ancient tools, transforming the glowing glass into a sculpture or vase. A visit to the showroom follows, where you will see the “Vetro Artistico® Murano” gold leaf mark, guaranteeing the authentic origin and Murano craftsmanship of each piece. We will then board the boat again, leaving behind the bustle of Murano. Gently rocked by the lagoon waters, we pass by the silhouettes of the sandbanks and the ancient monastery walls, while the sounds of the city fade into the distance. In this peaceful silence, broken only by the low hum of the engine, we set our course toward a hidden oasis: the Island of Certosa. As we approach, you will notice the island becoming increasingly green. Certosa is a true natural sanctuary once home to a Carthusian monastery (from which it takes its name), and today a beloved urban park for Venetians. Why is it called the “Island of Rabbits”?
As soon as we step ashore, you will understand. The island is home to a large colony of wild rabbits living freely among the meadows and reeds. It is not uncommon to spot them darting through the grass or playfully chasing each other along the paths, now accustomed to the quiet presence of visitors. It’s a small, enchanting ecosystem where nature has beautifully reclaimed its space. We then head to the marina bar for an aperitivo overlooking the lagoon. With a glass of Prosecco or a classic Select Spritz in hand, the sound of blown glass becomes a distant memory. It is the perfect ending: from the fire of artistic creation to the peaceful calm of nature.
